You can't have a lead pack (you) without a back of the pack (me) -- I'm sure we'll all have a good time regardless of how many miles we cover.

Thanks for the congrats about San Diego. I can now go to my incinerator knowing I was able to nail at least one 100-miler (but I'm hoping there'll be more in the years ahead)!

I'll let Steve know you and I will be at the Cleveland 24-Hour and also thank him again for telling me all about you (only the highest of praise, of course).

Good luck with your training for Cleveland!Ric Munozhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17757361847046350615noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-699712915773591243.post-62827812316462793402009-08-19T10:47:41.981-04:002009-08-19T10:47:41.981-04:00Hey Ric!

I would give Tony K. an edge based on course knowledge and experience but it should be a good race between these two (I don't think anyone else will really be able to challenge these two).nmphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02486058267340747104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-699712915773591243.post-78662805192563237172009-08-17T15:52:26.385-04:002009-08-17T15:52:26.385-04:00That's great! I think it makes it a little more palatable towards the end of long runs when you are less inclined to want to eat/drink anything.

My leg is healed and I am finally running healthy, which by the way is a whole lot more fun. I'm doing Leadville this weekend so I will see how that goes. After the EFS turned my stomach, I switched back to the Perp for the last 30 miles or so of the race. You're right, the taste is awful, but it's worth dealing with when it's the only thing that works for 100+ milers.

Hope you're running healthy these days...any 100 milers on schedule for the fall?Dan Rosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17148231660865011554noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-699712915773591243.post-59435373553071152932009-08-15T12:57:40.342-04:002009-08-15T12:57:40.342-04:00Dan,

Have you considered mixing Perpetuem with a no calorie/sugar electrolyte? I have been mixing it with nuun tablets and it solves the problem of keeping track of multiple things. As an extra benefit the nuun helps mask the awful flavor of Perpetuem.nmphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02486058267340747104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-699712915773591243.post-45498923250030588662009-08-11T07:29:19.148-04:002009-08-11T07:29:19.148-04:00Dan,
