The Healing Powers of Spring

Guess who's back running just in time to enjoy the 70+ degree weekend weather here in DC? For the first time in what seems like forever, this will be the view from my bedroom window tomorrow as I head off on a healthy run. Sure, it'll be slow, but just the fact that it will be has me buzzing with excitement! I hope the spring weather shines down on everyone this weekend!

Happy to hear it. Got some Drymax and loving them. Chris got results up for Iron Horse, lucky for me I am now 38 instead of 39! Best of luck with your upcoming training and challenges........

Wow, you must have ran through those race loops so fast you actually affected the rotation of the earth and got younger...nice work!

I'm 100% sure Drymax socks (and wide toe-box shoes) will help you avoid those nasty blisters in your next 100 miler...probably end up cutting an hour off your time too!

What races do you have on your radar for the rest of the year?

Guana 50k locally end March then Keys Ultra 100 mid May. Not sure after that but considering Javelina Jundred and will definitely be applying for Badwater next January.

Guys gotta have his goals right...........

Good luck in the Keys! I hear that can be a tough one for sun/heat. Definitely a great "warm up" for Badwater!

If you've got the time to head out to Badwater this summer, definitely try and join someone's crew. That will go a long way in helping you get into the race next year...the race committee places lots of weight on that kind of experience when making their decision!

We had 55 degrees yesterday and everyone was outside in the mud and slush. Comm Ave was full of runners, it was so pretty to see. Of course, we are getting dumped with snow today. Short lived glory. Good luck on your slow runs. I wish I could go with you, you are probably at the right pace for me.

Can you see my mocking wave to you from the land of 68 degrees w/ a gentle breeze?!
